Who is the Chaensaw
Messiah?
~•~
"I am your apocalypse,
I am your belief unwrought,
Monolithic juggernaut,
I'm the illegitimate son of God."
- KMFDM, "Stray Bullet"
~•~
It's pretty much inconsequential who I am. I'm simply the guy
that
founded this site. I do not claim to be a deity of any kind; the
"messiah" moniker is more a joke than anything else, though I do hope
to
"save" a lot of people from their own fucked up moralities.
"It is not hardness of heart or evil passions that drive
certain
individuals to atheism,
but rather a scrupulous intellectual honesty." - Steve Allen
For those of you who care, I am not a foaming-at-the-mouth
extremist.
I am not a freak or a social pariah, and if you passed me in the street
you wouldn't think I was such a heathen. I am not a Satanist, nor
do I believe in Satan. I am normal. Nothing happened to me
to turn me against religion. What makes me different from the
religious
is that my parents raised me to have an open mind, without forcing any
religion on me, and I came to the only possible conclusion one can
reach
if one is a truly rational person. Any belief otherwise requires
a leap of faith, which is not grounded in any logic or reason and by
its
nature lacks any proof whatsoever. The truth is, there is no God,
at least no God that really cares about anyone here on earth. If
there were, why would earth be so chaotic? Why would there be
more
anger and fear than peace and love? Why would innocent, good
people
all over the world die from violence or horrible disease? Why
would
church vans full of good people be plunging off cliffs every
month?
The only God on earth is chaos, and it is unable to be
worshipped.
All we can do is live life to its fullest, and make each other happy.
Enemies of Mine
~•~
"Choices always were a problem for you.
What you need is someone strong to guide you.
Deaf and blind and dumb and born to follow,
What you need is someone strong to use you...
Like me,
Like me."
- TooL, "Opiate"

These people are not necessarily declared enemies of ME specifically,
but they
have exhibited many characteristics that are very detrimental to the
notion
that we should all be allowed to live in peace and happiness.
This
listing obviously could not possibly hold the names of everyone that
would
be opposed to this belief, and most of those people are not real
"enemies,"
and they deserve the right to believe whatever lies they want to.
The folks listed below, however, are truly enemies of anything good
and decent because they tirade against basic personal rights in favor
of
replacing them with their own grotesque moralities:
-
Reverend Fred Phelps, the child-abusing wife-beating
"Pastor" who
runs www.godhatesfags.com
and
is the leader of the group that goes out and pickets gay activities
with
banners that say "AIDS cures fags." If there really was a God,
Reverend
Phelps would currently and forevermore be sucking Satan's smegma in
Hell.
-
Pat Robertson, for founding the 20th century Inquisition,
the Christian
Coalition -- the single biggest political threat to personal
freedom
since Hitler's Third Reich. Plus, all the members of the
Christian
Coalition and similar organizations.
-
Pat Buchanan, Strom Thurmond, Jesse Helms, Trent
Lott, Rick Santorum, along
with probably two
dozen other congressional conservative scumbags -- often-outspoken
foes of equal rights for
women, minorities, gays, the poor, and non-Christians. Why the
fuck do people keep electing these psychoes?
-
Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly, Dr. Laura, and other
moronic
ultra-conservative media loudmouths, reactionary morons who
know little and talk much. If only people weren't so stupid and
gullible,
they'd be selling used cars (where they belong). (For further
info
on Rush, I highly recommend the book
Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot
by Al Franken.)
Friends of Mine
~•~
"You can choose a ready guide in some celestial voice
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice
You can choose from phantom fears and kindness that can kill
I will choose a path that's clear, I will choose free will."
- Rush, "Free Will"
~•~
These folks are not actually personal friends of mine (to the best of
my knowledge), but they are
worthy of mentioning because they exhibit many of the areligious
characteristics that
I respect. This list is NOT a role call of Chaensaws or
their supporters, but rather a listing of people that have inspired me
in some way:
-
Madalyn Murray O'Hair - the first truly loud voice of
Atheism in
America. Despite my logical problems with Atheism, her efforts to
rid government of religious infestation have
made all of our lives better.
- Michael Moore - He's
obnoxious and irritating and often wrong, but he helps balance out the
obnoxious and irritating and rarely correct morons on the conservative
side of the equation, and has great societal penetration. His
movies and books ultimately serve a very good purpose.
-
Bill Maher - Former host of ABC's Politically Incorrect,
a very
visible supporter of personal choice on all fronts, as well as a critic
of organized religion's inherent hypocracies and prejudisms.
-
Larry Flynt - Publisher of Hustler Magazine and one
of the
strongest proponents of the First Amendment and personal freedom of
choice
in the nation.
-
The Countless Enlightened Musicians who have told the truth
and
spread it to the masses - many of whom are quoted on this page.
-
The Founding Fathers of the United States of America - the
Deist/Unitarian
ones, especially those responsible for the First Amendment. May
they
be able to stop spinning in their graves someday.
-
The ACLU - though they do a lot of stupid things, they also do
a
lot of really good things, like fighting scary, unconstitutional, Big
Brother-like
legislation like the Communications Decency Act.
Unfortunately,
they're not quite a match for the Christian Coalition. Who said
good
guys always win?
Supporting
Agnosticsm
~•~
"Let's stop praying for someone to save us and start
saving ourselves."
- KMFDM, "Dogma"
~•~
So you like what you've read, and want to the cause of agnosticism.
First, realize that I don't really care what you do. It makes
no difference
to me if you believe what I do or not. However, if you still want
to be an agnostic, read the criteria below. And you don't have to
do anything special to become an agnostic, which is the best part.
-
You are free to do what you want. Keep your
money.
Keep your job at the porno store. Keep jerking off and assfucking
your gay lover and smoking pot and sleeping with whores. Just
respect
others' personal rights.
-
Do not hurt people (unless they want you to); do
not rape,
murder, steal, or anything that violates others' rights. Abide by
the law, unless it's unjust, and then help fight against it in a civil,
productive manner.
-
Renounce any silly beliefs you may have
about god or satan or whoever or whatever. Spirituality by itself
is perfectly okay, but instead of praying for good things to happen,
actually make them happen!
Contacting
Chaensaw
~•~
I do personally read all correspondence, but I do not respond to
flames,
and I will report spams and threats to the proper
authorities.
If you have a reasonable question or comment, I will be more than happy
to read it. Unlike such lovely people like the Rev. Phelps (who
runs
the lovely site godhatesfags.com and is July 1999's Schmuck of the
Month!),
I don't send propoganda-laden form letters back, and I don't just read
mail that praises me.
Letters I am likely to reply to:
-
Reasonable, well-conceived questions as to my stance or thoughts on
something
that wasn't addressed on the site.
-
Criticisms that are civil and well-conceived.
Letters I am not likely to respond to:
-
Outright condemnation of my site and my beliefs (flames).
-
Outright praise; ie: "I love your site!" - please do not think I'm
ignoring
you, I just don't have anything to say.
-
Questions relating to something directly answerable somewhere on the
site.
-
Letters that are incomprehensible or otherwise unclear.
If you read and agree to all the stuff above and still have something
to
say, you can write me at chaensaw at comcast dot net
